Overview

The Academy is a Bats-themed service building that provides Brawling and Education for Bats, Frogs, Lizards, Beavers, and Harpies when there is at least one worker, as well as the passive effect The Crown Chronicles when all worker slots are filled.

The Academy is a species-specific building. It can show up as a blueprint choice only when Bats are present in your settlement. This restriction can be bypassed if you find an Academy Ruin or with a wildcard blueprint pick from:

Overgrown Library - World Map modifier
Smuggler's Visit - Legendary Cornerstone
Summoned Smuggler (Stormforged) - Stormforged Cornerstone
Contraband - Wildcard blueprint pick available for purchase from some traders

The Academy is unlocked at level 17.

Building Effects

The Crown Chronicles	+1 Global Resolve for every rebuilt OR salvaged Ruin. Retroactive. Same building effects do not stack. Need 3 villagers assigned.

Service Building Mechanics

The Academy, like all service buildings, does not require villagers to visit it in order to fulfill their needs. All services are fulfilled at the Hearth during a break. Academy workers still have to carry service goods to the building before they can be consumed.

The Academy does not need to be built within the Hearth Radius. It retains full functionality when built outside of the Hearth range, but will not count towards the level 3 Hearth upgrade unless all of the Academy tiles are within its range.
