Wheat is a crop that can be grown in your colony. Like all crops, it requires proper soil conditions, adequate lighting, and protection from harsh environmental factors to thrive.
Production
Wheat is a midgame crop that must be researched before it can be planted on any Farm. It is more difficult to cultivate than crops that are available at the beginning of the game. Fertilizer may be necessary to continuously grow it.
Usage
Food
Wheat cannot be consumed raw and requires processing into Flour at the Mill before it can be cooked into any foods. Flour is used to produce higher-quality foods at the Bakery and Soup Kitchen.
Since Wheat converts to 5 times as much Flour in the Mill, you do not need to plant a great deal of it to meet your culinary needs.
Trade
Wheat cannot be sold to pay taxes or pirate ransoms.
