The Scientist is a character in Super Fantasy Kingdom. In the human kingdom the Scientist when first met will tell the king to come back once they are stronger and have faced their fears. This is implying that the player must unlock curse and speak to them again. Once spoken to while curse is active the Scientist will ask to know the way to your kingdom for 10 ×  shards If their you pay this cost they will begin appearing on the 26th day. You can also speak with them on the map to ask them to be an end of week visitor, found on the second island of the voyage on human and across the river in the southern part of the map on undead.

When visiting the Scientist will ask to eat research one of your units. This will remove the unit from your roster entirely. Doing this allows you to start future cycles with that unit for 10 ×  coins. After doing this once the UI for selecting which unit you want to start with will be in your Throne Room.

History

  • In early versions of the game there was a monster catching mechanic somewhat similar to the final demo version. It was removed in Playtest RC 28 and reworked and re added in Demo build 88
  • In the demo once the player speaks to them again in a cycle with a curse they would lower their hood revealing its form and tell the player to capture a monster to see its stats. This places a trap on the battlefield and if a damaged monster walks over it there is a chance it becomes trapped. The more damage the monster had taken the higher the chance it became trapped.
