Clanfolk Official Wiki:Work needed
From Clanfolk Official Wiki
How much detail do we add from testing branch? And if it's added, how do we differentiate it?
People should obviously be free to work on what they want to work on. This listing was one users perspective on what would be more useful earlier. They didn't hold to it.
If we need to start over...
First steps
- Stub pages for the basics - Objects, Items, Buildings (what's the difference? etc.)
- Game Creation process with brief description of each option
- Terrain types, Idea Points etc. for difficulty levels
- Clans are aesthetic but don't alter game play, Family / Orphans / etc., very brief Animal uses, etc
- Main Map screen layout - detail box at top left, overlay options at top rights, warnings at right, etc.
Second steps
- Upload of game assets using a consistent naming methodology - Special:WantedFiles has many. Buildings pages for tile images of Roofs, Floors, Walls. Objects page for some added over a range of game updates.
- Templates for - Buildings, Items, Objects, etc. (copy and modify from first wiki?). Enables infobox with the most important info in a consistent manner. - sort of done on a subpage for when template creation begins User:Avron/templates
- stubs for various early Buildings, Items, Objects (start with Stone Sickle etc. and hold off on Cheese Press etc.)
Third steps
- later stage Buildings etc.
- Main Toolbar page with brief description of what each button leads to. (Select Buildings / Objects / Planting / Jobs / Stockpiles / Zones / Inventory / Task List / Ideas / Skills / Family Tree / Clans / Current Coin)
- Game Mechanics - elaborate and create separate pages.
- Attributes, Skills, and other things that affect an individual Clanfellow
- Seasons, Temperature, etc. that have a "global" effect on Clanfolk
- Clothing Production, Food Production, etc. for how things are made, including where they are made
