Strategies

• Oil can be used to solve many different Glade Events as it can be both used to burn unwanted structures down or to be used in rituals. If you happen on a temporary supply of oil from opening a cache or solving another Glade Event, it may be worth saving it for solving a future Glade Event rather than burning it as fuel in the Hearth.
  • You can adjust the priority of which fuels are allowed to be burned in the Hearth to prevent it from being used accidentally.
• Buildings that produce Oil can be a viable alternative fuel source to quarrying  Sea Marrow or mining for  Coal as long as one of the prerequisite inputs is freely available.
