Strategies

Buying to Resell

The following calculations show the cost of creating 2 Pack of Trade Goods, if the resources are bought at a trader. It shows that buying resources in order to later craft and sell Packs is always profitable, as they end up creating 2 Packs, sold each for 1.5 Amber (3 Amber total). The most profitable resources to buy for this purpose are Dye Dye and Flour Flour, the least profitable are Oil Oil and Barrels Barrels.

The highest possible profit achieved in this way is 3 Amber gained for 0.96 Amber spent (Dye Dye in ★★ recipe), the lowest possible profit is 1.5 Amber gained for 1 Amber spent (Oil Oil in ★ recipe).

At P10 Packs are each sold for 0.75 Amber (1.5 Amber total), which means profit won't happen with all resources but is still possible with the most profitable ones: that is with Dye Dye in the ★ recipe, and with all resources in the ★★ recipe, except for Oil Oil, which barely breaks even. The highest possible profit is then 1.5 Amber gained for 0.96 Amber spent (Dye Dye in ★★ recipe).

Even highest profit in the buying to resell strategy is theoretically possible through various factors such as buying resources that constitute the elements of the recipe (such as Grain Grain to create Flour Flour), crafting these elements in high quality recipes, crafting these elements with efficient species, etc.
