Strategies

• Grain is not edible raw and relies on complicated recipe chains to turn them into useful products. Before choosing a building for its Grain production, such as the Small Farm or Foragers' Camp, plan ahead to make sure you have some way of making the Grain useful first.
  • Grain can be used to produce all three products at the Ranch:  Meat,  Leather,  Eggs.
  • Grain can be turned into  Porridge or  Flour. Neither of these recipes are available by default from Essential Blueprints.
  • Grain can be turned into  Oil to be used as fuel, but be aware that buildings with Oil recipes are rare.
  • As a last resort, Grain can be turned into  Pack of Crops in the Makeshift Post to be sold for  Amber or used as bait in Fishing Huts.
