The castle is you starting building. It's used as storage for non edible ressources. Carriers will transport all non edible Resources to the Castle. Only Resources stored in the castle can be spent.

Building fortifications grants more place for ranged Units and allows to build the File:Balista.png Balista.

If there are any idle workers it will be displayed at the bottom left of the castle(White digit next to the sign)
