Below is an alphabetically-sortable table providing quick explanations of various terms, acronyms, etc. relevant to the plot and setting of MENACE, intended for ready and easy usage by the community. However, be careful of spoilers!

Term	Summary
Terran Congressional Republic	The primary interstellar government of humanity.
Rhakaria	An apparently impoverished and primitive planet in the Wayback System.
TCRN Impetus	The TCR Navy light cruiser the player commands.
Wayback System	The setting of the game, isolated from the Core Worlds for over a century.
Warp Gate	The only means of safe FTL travel; warp can be extremely dangerous without their "tethering."
Core Worlds	The most populous and important colonized planets of the TCR
Age of Estrangement	Not certain ATM, but assumedly a period of interstellar chaos before humanity was united under the aegis of the TCR.
POG	IRL marine slang for "Person Other than Grunt." Pronounced pogue, not "pohg," as seen in banter between Edwin Pike and Charles Lim.
Trinkets	Anything profitable, useful, sellable, or just shiny. Pirates are obssessed with these.
Planetary Jingwei	The local government of the Wayback System (NOT an opposing space nation of its own). It also controls the Warp Gate.
