Below is an alphabetically-sortable table providing quick explanations of various terms, acronyms, etc. relevant to the plot and setting of MENACE, intended for ready and easy usage by the community. However, be careful of spoilers!

Term	Summary
AM	Stands for Anti-Materiel; 'materiel' means heavy armor or equipment, so in MENACE, weapons with this acronym will usually be effective against tanks, vehicles, and heavily-armored infantry, but likely less so on numerous light infantry!
Tekker	Derogatory slang used by residents of the Wayback to denote anyone from the Terran Congressional Republic.
Jingwei, Planetary	The local government of the Wayback System, NOT a space nation competing with the TCR. Nominally led by Field Marshal Zama.
Terran Congressional Republic	The primary interstellar government of humanity.
GLOC	Real-life military acronym for "Ground Line of Communication." When Pike says this he essentially means comms have been established with the Impetus and the mission is ready to begin.
Oscar Mike	Military phonetic alphabet acronym for On the Move.
Rhakaria	An apparently impoverished and primitive planet in the Wayback System.
Sitrep	"Situation Report," a description of what is currently going on in battle at the moment, for instance said after a unit is destroyed, etc.
TCRN Impetus	The TCR Navy light cruiser the player commands.
Wayback System	The setting of the game, isolated from the Core Worlds for over a century.
Warp Gate	The only means of safe FTL travel; warp can be extremely dangerous without their "tethering."
Core Worlds	The most populous and important colonized planets of the TCR.
Piper	Derogatory nickname used by the upper class of Dice of the Gods to refer to those born in the lower levels of the planet's settlements, like Harlan Corlain.
Era of Estrangement	Not certain ATM, but assumedly a period of interstellar chaos before humanity was united under the aegis of the TCR.
PAL	Portable Anti-Tank Launcher.
ATGM Launcher	Anti-Tank Guided Missile. In MENACE, these synergize well with Perk or any other ability that "marks" a target.
POG	IRL contemptuous marine slang for "Person Other than Grunt." Pronounced pogue, not "pohg," as seen in banter between Edwin Pike and Charles Lim.
Trinkets	Anything profitable, useful, sellable, or just shiny. Pirates are obssessed with these.
Planetary Jingwei	The local government of the Wayback System (NOT an opposing space nation of its own). It also controls the Warp Gate.
Kut-ta	Punjabi/Hindi word for 'dog,' and notoriously what Renu Rewa calls her foes as she slaughters them.
Zayn-Beecher_Corp	The largest megacorp in the Wayback System, though tiny compared to even the smallest of the Core Worlds.
Sy Corp	A very large and wealthy megacorporation in the Core Worlds that makes everything from advanced weaponry to medals. Jean Sy is its heiress but escaped to the Wayback System to defy her father.
ORBAT	Means "Order of Battle," a general military term referring to the numbers, organization, and other important information concerning a particular military force.
BAMCIS	A US Marine acronym standing for the process to successfully complete any task: "Begin planning, Arrange reconnaissance, Make reconnaissance, Complete the plan, Issue the order, and Supervise it." In Marine slang, soldiers often say BAMCIS when an operation or task has gone well.
OPFOR	General military term for "opposing force," although IRL used mainly in training exercises rather than in actual combat.
Yut!	This US Marine term can be an acronym for several different things and have different meanings depending on context, but for TCR Marines like Charles Lim, it's a general positive expression of excitement or satisfaction at a successful mission, like "Hoorah!"
Charlie Mike	Military acronym for "Continue Mission."
Casevac	Short for "Casualty Evacuation."
C2	Command and Control, or the exercise of authority and direction by a commander over their force to accomplish objectives. When Pike says this, he's complimenting the player's orders and the unit's ability to carry them out.
DOPE	Acronym for Data On Previous Engagement, a record of past ballistic performance used to adjust sights and shooting--when Pike says it's green, he means the recently-fired shots successfully landed.
0311	U.S. Marine Corps MOS, or specialty designation, for Infantry Riflemen.
ASOC	This could mean several things, but most likely Air Support Operations Center, which directs tactical air support assets.
Semper Fi	The motto of the US Marine Corps, "Semper Fidelis" or "Always Faithful." Apparently, the TCR Marines have inherited this motto and, much like IRL American Marines, say it as a positive exclamation of enthusiasm or triumph.
Gate Ripper	An insult Pirates use against the player's forces, referring assumedly to the TCRN Impetus's rough entry into the Wayback System.
Unbent	How members of the Backbone refer to themselves.

Black Goo	Seen in Syama Pedersen's MENACE trailer, fans theorize it has something to do with how the MENACE assimilates human material, but nothing is certain yet!
Construct	General term for all MENACE creatures seen so far (Construct Drone, Construct Soldier, etc)
