Itemsets
Itemsets are unique passive effects that are applied to the player once they aquire a specific set of items and/or weapons. Storing any of them in a pouch removes the effect.
Weapon modifications:
Weapon modifications are obtained by wielding either weapon from a combinable pair, then attempting to pick up the other respective weapon. The player will be prompted with a menu confirming they would like to combine them.
The new weapon typically has a stronger version of the effects from both of the combined weapons.
Modified Weapons and Itemsets
Modified weapons also typically have the same itemset interactions and triggers as their component weapons.
Examples:
Sword of the Hero is used to create the
Spear of the Hero, and both trigger the
Hero's Return itemset
Bloodlord's Axe is used to create the
Bloodlord's Whip, and both trigger the
Bloodstone Pendant itemset (with the
Bloodstone Ring)- Similarly, the
Brittlebark Blade and it's component weapons do benefit from the Brittlebark Blessing itemset effect (which removes their detrimental effect), even though they do not trigger the itemset themselves
