An institution where Whiskers can teach others their skills.
A Whisker placed in the first slot of this building can "teach" their relevant expertise to all other Whiskers present in the school.
Teachers in the school can do the following:
- Convert other Whiskers to their guild
- Teach others to be an apprentice
- Teach others to be a craftmaster (will first teach apprentice before craftmaster if needed)
- Teach others to be a scholar
You may wish to set the teaching filter before assigning a teacher to help find available teachers and ensure you don't accidentally teach the wrong thing.
Once students have completed their training, they will be automatically unassigned from the school and become builders.
Schools will display the "no workers" red icon whether nobody is assigned to the school or if there are just no students.
Schools are vital to reshaping your workforce as needed. Do take care in teaching your Whiskers as anything besides changing their guild will permanently increase their expectations and cannot be undone. There is no advantage to Whiskers having specialties unless you need it for a building requirement. That is, a craft master in a regular slot will function just like any other untrained Whisker.
