A fast way to send whiskers up or out, requires steam to be connected to it for it to function.
The Whisker Launcher is placed instantly without the need for any construction time. It requires a destination to be set before Whiskers will use it. The further the destination is set, the more steam each use will consume. For example, a close range jump may consume 2 steam per use while a max range may consume 9.
The maximum horizontal range is 8 tiles starting at but not including the red sqaure. The Whisker Launcher will not send a Whisker careening down more than 3 tiles of elevation from its current position. The maximum height of a jump appears to be 10 tiles.
This is an extremely fast way to move whiskers up in elevation at the cost of steam. If it is the fastest path available to a whisker, they will take it. Care should be taken in using the Whisker Launcher in a high traffic area as it can quickly deplete piped steam and fuel.
The piped steam input is located directly on top of the steam tank.
