Path decorations are additions to pre-existing paths that can add visual appeal to your town. They are free to build, meaning they don't cost any materials, and can be placed on any 4 sides of a path tile. You can only place one per side of a tile, so if there is an existing path decoration in place and you add another on top of it, it will be replaced by the new one.

Paths

Buildings paths can improve travel speeds, create intentional paths of travel, and add to the aesthetic beauty of your town.

Paths can be built at any height. However, if you are building above the grade of the ground or over water, there will be an additional resource cost of Logs to build supporting structures that connect the path to the ground.

Name Description Travel Speed Building Cost
Makeshift Path Rough makeshift path made of raw logs Medium 1 Log
Plank Path Smooth path of cut planks Medium 1 Plank
Stone Path Very even path of cut stone Fast 1 Cut Stone

Path Decorations

Path decorations are additions to pre-existing paths that can add visual appeal to your town. They are free to build, meaning they don't cost any materials, and can be placed on any 4 sides of a path tile. You can only place one per side of a tile, so if there is an existing path decoration in place and you add another on top of it, it will be replaced by the new one.

Although path decorations take up visual space in the path, they do not collide with your Whiskers or interrupt their paths of travel. Fences and railings will not interrupt current Whisker travel, but they will begin routing around these objects placed in their way.

The following path decorations are available:

  • Lighting
    • Lantern
    • Torch
  • Railings and Fences
    • Rope Railing
    • Stone Railing
    • Cobble Fence
    • Privacy Fence
  • Functional
    • One-Way Gate
  • Misc
    • Barrels
    • Bench
    • Planter

Stairs & Bridges

Stairs and bridges provide Whiskers the ability to traverse the terrain smoothly.

Stairs are required for Whiskers to move between levels of ground, and they have various travel speeds and physical footprints. All stairs other than Steep Stairs are unlocked via Research.

Name Description Travel Speed Building Cost Footprint
Steep Stairs Compact but precarious stairs Slow 1 Log 1x1
Steep Stairs Turn (Left) Compact but precarious stairs in a leftward spiral Slow 1 Log 1x1
Steep Stairs Turn (Right) Compact but precarious stairs in a rightward spiral Slow 1 Log 1x1
Long Stairs Quality wooden staircase. Faster and more comfortable than steep stairs. Medium 2 Planks 1x2
Stone Stairs Sturdy stone staircase Fast 2 Cut Stone 1x2
