A quick way to get your whiskers down from heights, you can link these together to keep up the speed.
Slides may seem like a waste of space when options like elevators and stairs can cover Whiskers going down in elevation as well as up all while using a smaller footprint. That said, Slides are the fastest way to get your Whiskers down to a location without using the late-game steam technology. That faster transit time can be a big deal, especially as your Whiskers need to travel further from home. Remember, every minute a Whisker is walking somewhere is a minute you're losing production.
Be aware that until you can get access to the Whisker Launcher, there isn't an equivalent to the Slide for going up in elevation. This means the Slide will only speed up a Whisker's transit one way per day.
