Complete pages for Buildings
Buildings is the listing page for all of the game's building types. To begin to be useful as an information source, the page's references to each Building name ought to link into a full page dedicated to only that Building's description. Keep in mind that the common Wiki practice is for pages to be named exactly as the (thing being described) is named, and given that the Buildings are core ideas to the gameplay, please keep them all at the wiki's root level. (If that doesn't make sense, don't worry, just enjoy making pages -- you won't screw it up and someone can tidy them all up later.)
Please invent an "infobox" (a way of formatting information in a condensed form on one side of the screen) to highlight key statistics of the buildings. Early stats to focus on include:
- Name
- Ground Area Covered (2 dimensions)
- Material Cost
- Available Immediately or Research Cost
- Short Description: What It Does
- Resources Produced (if any)
- Whisker Assignments
As enthusiasm for Buildings increases, add in some strategic, "pro strats" knowledge:
- Construction Time in game-hours
- Production Time (if any)
- Target for Tools (e.g.: Berries, Flax)
You know what's cool about Resources?
Resources is the listing page for the collectibles in this game. Unlike Buildings, it's not so important to give each Resource its own page -- though we could! -- but a wiki sorely needs to provide more information than a game object's name and "description".
Here are some other things that can be said about Resources:
- Tax Value (if Tradable)
- Food Value (if Edible)
- Chances Of Appearing In Shipments
- How To Get It?
- Where Is It Used?
- Is It Raw Or Refined?
More Guides
The Beginner's Guide is a great read, especially since it has so much of the charisma of the game's narrative. What it doesn't have is something for the Hardcore Gamer to enjoy: a build order! Head into its Discussion page to contribute to the debate as to what to prioritize and at what time -- or feel free to create a 'disambiguation' for the Beginner's Guide (Strategy) page. You know, whatever you think is best to drive home your idea of how to 'git gud'!
