Your second storage that you can build, a bit bigger in size but it can store 144 goods.
Building the Small Warehouse, at first glance, may seem like a bad idea in comparison to the storage shed due its comparable storage density and cost. Keep in mind that 1 log is equal to 5 planks, making the Small Warehouse (21 planks) cost less than one storage shed (5 logs = 25 planks). Additionally, the Small Warehouse is not actually 2x2x2. Only the stone on the 2nd layer that supports the conveyor input is real. The other 3 cubes can be built upon much like the roof of any Whisker house.
Small Warehouses continue to make excellent economical goods staging structures for industrial facilities even when larger warehouses become available. There are also numerous goods where the 144 space limit is sufficient for much of the game (e.g., machine parts, gold bullion).
