The Forage Hut allows up to 2 Whiskers to gather wild Berries or wild Flax within its radius. Since these are finite on the world map, few Forage Huts should be constructed to gather these resources. This building primarily facilitates early game resource needs and clearing out these resources on newly explored islands.
The Forage Hut, like most resource gathering buildings, can be moved freely and without cost to facilitate gathering more wild resources.
The building will issue an idle camp warning when no further wild resources are within its radius.
While there is a Forage Tool to mark resources for foraging, it is not necessary to use in order for assigned Whiskers to begin foraging. It only prioritizes resources and will rarely be used except in niche circumstances. For example, clearing a 1 tile path through some bushes or prioritizing Flax over Berries.
