Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second-largest planet in the Solar System. It is best known for its prominent ring system made up of ice particles, rocky debris, and dust. As a gas giant, Saturn has no habitation sites in the game, but its extensive moon system offers numerous opportunities. It cannot be visited by humans until the Mission to Saturn technology has been researched.

Strategic Value
Saturn's system offers numerous moons with varied resources, especially 
Volatiles and 
Water. Its distance from the Sun makes it a significant step in expanding human presence to the outer Solar System.
Titan's thick atmosphere greatly reduces the threat of bombarding spaceships, making it a common "fortress" location in the outer solar system.
As a gas giant, Saturn be used as a source for refueling for ships with a Remass Scoop, and it can also host a Helium-3 Mine. See Drive List for compatible drive types.
While Saturn is by far the best location in the solar system for natural antimatter harvesting, the quantities involved are still extremely low, and it is rarely useful in practice.
