I have manually edited the standard 'displayName' for GBR to "United Kingdom". In practical terms GBR/"England" as a nation does not and cannot exist in the current game. I can't work out how/why the game defaults to the union name like this (though referring to Great Britain as "England" would certainly be very politically contentious).

Without some relatively convoluted tweaks to certain modules for autogenerating pages (which I don't feel very qualified to attempt) this is the easiest way to get the wiki to reflect what the game displays to the player. "England" is still used internally by the game as the 'dataName' for identifying the "London" region, but pretty sure this does not interact with the displayName in this file. Just making a note here for future editors, in case I am wrong about any of this, or it has unexpected consequences for modules/templates. Llamageddon (talk) 14:41, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Looks like we are sorting this out on the module end, and I was also mistaken about England not being able to exist, though it is a rare occurrence. Discussing this and modules being tweaked accordingly, also demonstrated why it is probably not a good practice to edit the game files uploaded here, if at all avoidable.
