Help:Editing
Start by clicking Edit
It's always among the top right buttons on an article.
Use the Editor
- is the formatting bar, where you can edit text styles like in Word as well as access tools like upload images (the "Drop files" section) and "Find and Replace" at the far right
- is the actual writing area, where you write and edit content
- is the summary, where you must always write what changes you made to the page so editors can easily identify changes
- are the action buttons -- "Save page" publishes the page, while "Show preview" shows you what it will look like but does not publish the page.
- is the list of templates used in the article -- you can use this list to quickly access templates and modules used in an article and learn how they work
How to Edit
Simply write anything on the writing area (2), like you would on Word. Highlight anything and you can use the buttons (1) to format it, like you would on Word.
To add sections like the "How to Edit" one above, simply add == before and after a title e.g. ==How to Edit==
Use two equals == for big sections, and three equals === for smaller sections, and four equals ==== for small sections that don't need a separating line underneath.
Links
Pagename is how you do links e.g. if you write Food, you will link to the Food article.
When you want to save the page, press the Preview button (4) to see what it looks like without saving, them press the Save Changes button (4) to save the edits and publish the page publicly.
Images
is the code to add images.
Filenameis the file name of any image found in the File ListSizemeans the size you want in pixels, e.g. 30pxPositionis simply if you want it to be left, right, or center of the page.
So if you write , you will put an image of the road measuring 30 pixels in the center of the page like so:

Done
