=== In Game Description ===
The Mk25 'Rebound' fires short-range 50mm flak rounds, detonating roughly in proximity of the approaching threat, typically missiles or personal craft. As the weapon lacks a Fire Control radar it is entirely reliant on the host warship's sensors, but is highly resistant to radar jamming and can operate off of visuals

=== Lore ===
''Flak guns will never be replaced, it's the main ingredient of warfare, like contractor kickbacks and rhetoric-spouting politicians- something the Alliance has in spades these days. A while back, Constantine tried to make a move on the Brass and get the humble Rebound struck from development doctrines but that put everybody in a bad mood and that afford got dropped pretty quick.''

''Rebounds got a nice spot in the Alliance roster after the Deshima Blitz revealed the first ammunition troubles for the AN, depots were getting drained of defender rounds at an eye-watering speed, but the ANM had plenty of 50mm sitting around in Badnarik for the sponson guns on the NAV-10. Naval Office took a shipment, fixed on some prox-fuze,<ref>[[munition:50mm-flak|50mm flak]] doesn't have a proximity fuze</ref> and called it a day. Surprised everybody when it turned out to be just the solution we needed.''
