Component:c65-cannon

From NEBULOUS: Fleet Command Official Wiki

In Game Description

With stockpiles of 450mm shells filling Alliance supply depots across Protectorate space, it was only natural that they would be procured for use in the Bethel Blockade. Knowing that the blockade fleet would be facing down the heaviest of armored warships if the Alliance did decide to break through at the Kribensis gate, the C65 was designed to be the primary armament of the ships holding the line there. Its massive autoloader allows a lineship to output as much firepower as a Solomon battleship, but it can take a while to reload.

Lore

Klaus covers his ears with his palms, the rest of the team mimicking him as he watches Cass from several feet away. She looks over her shoulder at the team, adjusting her headset as she brings up the firing trigger.

"Fire in the ho-"

She's immediately cut off by the thundering boom of the dual cannons firing, the shockwave from the blast sending up a small duststorm around the test site as the twin shells are sent screaming to the target somewhere on the desert surface of aureus. Cass comes jogging back to the crew, shaking sand off from her lightened outfit as she chuckles, flipping up her aviators.

"Think it's loud enough?" She asks Klaus, the man looking more nervous than pleased that the system worked. "Almost too loud. I'm going to have to modify the drum breech so it doesn't put out too much noise in the compartment. Can't have people going deaf over it," he replies. Keystone snickers, eager to get back into the shade as she parts herself in front of a DARCBrain, bringing up her radio.

"Target-Two, Testfire-One. How's it look?" She asks, watching data stream into the terminal. There's a brief burst of static followed by Alexander's voice coming through.

"Target-Two, impact. Near bullseye, five degrees left of target, and that's /with/ atmospheric drag. Great shot. We'll prep for the space trials."

Cass looks at Klaus with a grin, listening to him let off a sigh of relief. "Wanna shoot it again?" She asks.
