Component:bw1500-drive

From NEBULOUS: Fleet Command Official Wiki

In Game Description

Heavy civilian drive for cargo vessels.

Gameplay usage

The relatively low cost increase (+10pts) of other OSPN freighter-size drives means it is best to replace it in many situations. It is also noticeably more fragile than ANS' 5XX series drives.

Notes

Multiple drives do not inherently affect the mobility of a ship, only provide redundancy, however, the modifiers to a ship's mobility are a combination of all installed drives' modifiers, so installing drives with multiple of the same effect can further affect it's capability (two whiplash drives will provide more speed than one, but a whiplash and standard drive will provide no different speed than a single whiplash). If some drives are disabled, only those drives' modifiers will be removed, which may even result in the ship's mobility improving in some cases (such as a prowled drive being disabled). If all drives on a ship are knocked out, it will not be able to move altogether.

Most drives have a small and large counterpart. Asides their sizes, OSPN drives tend to be less conformal in the differences between big and small than their ANS counterparts.

The BW1500's Small counterpart is the BW800, which simply provides less hitpoints.

Cutter, it's Mila down in main propulsion. I'm sending a malfunction log that keeps tripping when Helm sets the drive to full burn. Each time they hit the bell, the entire radial shakes more than a Graznovian Forboda- it's loud, dangerous, and any further stress is going to send it flying around the drive bay before taking someone's head off. I've had Group 1 and Group 2 pour over all the mounting points and my assistant is struggling to find any way to improve on it, so I was hoping to get your advice on it.

Personally speaking here, I don't know why the hell Bulwark insists on using these drives from Vogt-Jager, Scchtiel makes better drives than this. i appreciate them taking the time to pump out some more thrust power and cutting down on the weight, but there's a reason why modern-day bulkers carry those big efficiency drives and not these 'high-power' units.

I hope they don't monitor these Comm-Points...
