Help:Applying Patches

These are the steps to perform whenever the game receives an update:

1. Visit Data:Update and run the tool that refreshes the internal data used by Cargo.
2. Visit Data:Diff and run the tool that compares the previous Core.zip with the latest one. Copy the generated output from the comparison to the clipboard.
3. Create a new page to host these database entries. It should be located next to other similar pages (e.g. Data:Patches/v0.80.34). Paste the clipboard into this page and maybe remove entries that don't feel relevant.
4. Create a new page for the official patch notes. It should be located next to other similar pages (e.g. Patches/v0.80.34) and use the same structure. Manually adapt the page for the current patch by copy/pasting from the steamcommunity official post.
5. Create a new page for the display of automated patch comparison. It should be located next to other similar pages (e.g. Patches/v0.80.34_auto). You only need to change the patch version in the {{Patch}} template.
