When matching speed, your best Common options are 
Leather Glove, 
Leather Vest, 
Boots of the Hero, and 
Featherweight Blade. 
Saffron Feather seems good, but watch out! Converting 1 
to 
can tip the advantage back to the Hog in time for its first turn.
When reducing damage, your best Common option is 
Frostbite Gauntlet. Load up on <=7
defense and 
Spiny Chestnut.
To kill the hog before it strikes, your best Common option is 3x 
Cherry Bombs. If you're lucky enough to find a Traveling Merchant 
with 
Kindling Bomb, arrange Kindling ahead of Cherry and you'll only need one of each item.
This boss is the best you can hope for when attempting Woodland Challenge: Untouchable!
