Fatigue
From He is Coming Official Wiki
Fatigue stops battles from going on forever. When a battle has lasted too long, the message "Fatigue started" appears and fatigue damage (shown with a burning skull) starts to be dealt until the battle ends.
How it works
- Since bugfix 0.9.45, fatigue works like sudden death: once it has started, no other items trigger.
- Fatigue can also start because a battle has a huge number of item triggers, not just because of the number of turns. Since 0.9.45 the game first speeds the battle up instead, and the limits for both kinds of fatigue are higher than before.
- The exact turn and trigger limits still need to be confirmed.
Taking fatigue damage unlocks the Steam achievement Death Approaches.
Tips
- Fatigue mostly shows up when neither side can finish the other, for example two builds that keep regaining armor or health. If your build relies on item triggers late in a long battle, they won't help once fatigue has started.
