Overview
Stone serves as a material in many buildings related to advanced game production chains and is produced by the Quarry.
Purpose
Stone sits at the beginning of many complex resource production chains. Other resources like 
Charcoal and 
Sabres need it and it is also required for a fundamental Construction resource, 
Stone Blocks.
Strategy
Stone is mined from Deposits and has a highly scalable production with upgrades, more than doubling its output. This means a single leveled Quarry with All Hands on Deck can support all nearby economy on its own..
