The Railway Station is part of the railway network and allows your Whiskers to get on and off trains.
Multiple Railway Stations can be set up on a single railway network allowing you to create multiple stops for your Whiskers. A cart traveling along your railway network will stop for a few seconds to pickup and unload Whiskers whether they are on the platform or not. Railway Stations only need to be placed at the start and end of a railway network for it to function. Carts will automatically reverse when reaching the end of the railway network unless the network forms a loop. Rail networks cannot diverge or accommodate more than one cart.
Whiskers will queue at Railway Stations until the next train arrives. Hovering the cursor over the Railway Station will reveal the number of Whiskers queued. Lengthy railway networks may make it difficult for Whiskers to get to their homes on time or deliver goods quickly. See Rail Physics for tips on dealing with long distance journies.
The maximum number of passengers in the rail cart on any given line is 12. Passengers not served will remain queued until the next trip or may seek out a nearby rail station if it has a similar destination. See Congestion for tips on dealing with rail station congestion.
