Faction Leader
The leader of the Resistance is Commander Fiona Ayouade. She was born in London, United Kingdom. Her service record:

Interaction with Other Factions
Factions with Similar Ideology
The Resistance shares some similarities with Humanity First. Both have a negative view towards the aliens, albeit Humanity First is more xenophobic. An important difference between The Resistance and Humanity First is that The Resistance seeks to resist the aliens to preserve humanity, whereas Humanity First seeks not just to resist and defeat the aliens, but to wipe the aliens out entirely, along with alien-sympathizing humans. Humanity First is also far more willing to engage in acts that exact a heavy human toll, whereas The Resistance has much stronger humanitarian concerns.
Another faction that may view The Resistance as an ally for at least part of the game is Project Exodus. Both have a negative view towards the aliens, although Project Exodus is not interested in defeating the aliens.
Factions with Opposite Ideology
The Resistance is naturally opposed to The Servants, who worship the aliens and advocate for a complete surrender.
To a slightly less extent, The Resistance is also opposed to The Protectorate, who advocates negotiated surrender as the only means to avoid annihilation. Conversely, The Protectorate believes The Resistance's agenda is doomed to fail.
