Overview
The Flamethrower shoots a stream of Fire. It is unlocked through Research (Tier 2, 400 Gold).
It can be used to cause ignite Burnable material. Different materials may react to being burned in different ways.
Mechanics
In the early stages of the game, the Flamethrower is an essential item in your toolkit. It is the first way you have to burn Residue, and allows you to manipulate some forms of Water.
Upgrades
Upgrades are purchases with Fluxite.

Tips
The individual material pages indicate which ones are burnable. The Flamethrower is not the only way you can burn things.
