Overview
Burnt Slag is created by igniting Slag. This can be done manually with a Flamethrower or the napalm upgrade of the Rocket Launcher, or it can be automated by running Slag over Lava trapped in Filters.
A Slag only has a 25% chance of turning into Burnt Slag and may instead just burn and be destroyed with no output.
Mechanics
Burnt Slag can be dropped through a Kinetic Slag Press to produce Gold and Spores. It must be dropped from a height of at least 25 blocks to pass through the press and produce its outputs which will fall out of the bottom. 1 Burnt Slag will always output 1 Gold and 1 Spore.
Tips
With significant enough Slag input, a pile ignited by the player can burn continuously to keep producing Burnt Slag without having to keep reigniting.
