Overview

Conveyor Belts are the core way you will transport pixels around your factory. Solid pixels that land on belts will be transported in the direction it is moving (indicated by the subtle animation of the belt). When pixels reach the end of the belt they will be pushed over the edge.

Mechanics

Conveyor Belts will carry any amount of pixels at one time as long as there is somewhere for each pixel to go, whether that be the next spot on the belt or over the end. If a pixel cannot move forward, everything behind it must wait until a space is freed up.

Only the pixels actually touching the Conveyor Belt are moved by it and the pixels in the pile above are simply carried by the pixels below. This means that if the bottom pixel is blocked by something, the whole pile will stop instead of being pushed over the top of the obstruction.

Tips

Holding shift (by default) while placing a Conveyor Belt will reverse its direction of travel.

Liquids, like Water, will ignore Conveyor Belts direction of travel and flow as they would on any other ground.
