Overview

Launchers are the second most important element of transporting pixels around your factory. They provide the ability to move pixels upwards that a Conveyor Belt cannot.

Mechanics

Solid pixels that enter a Launcher will be carried directly upwards. Upon reaching the end of the Launcher they will carry on upwards with a small amount of velocity before falling back onto the Launcher and 'bouncing' on the top, waiting for somewhere to go. If the top Launcher is angled, then the pixels will shoot out to the side that it is facing.

By placing a tower of Launchers with only the top one being angled, pixels can be carried as high as you would like then be deposited out the side.

Tips

  • When placing an angled Launcher, it will output to the side your cursor is closest to. This is indicated by the straight vertical side, with the angled side being the back.
  • When placing a tower of Launchers, only the top one will come out as angled. If you don't want any to be angled, you can hold shift (by default) to force all placed Launchers to face directly up.
  • Rows of angled Launchers can be used to rapidly move pixels horizontally.
  • Launchers check for new pixels on a timer and so pixels wont always immediately be sucked up when entering a Launcher.
