Tax office

The tax office is an important building in Nova Roma, being your only way to collect gold which is essential for many buildings. The higher the tax rate, the less happy your citizens will be in its radius. There are 7 tax rates, 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60% which are collected in an eleven tile radius from the side of the tax office.

Tax Rates

The tax office produces different amounts of money depending on which kind of residence it is and how high the tax rate is. At 10% tax the Hovel will produce 3.2x gold for every hovel, eg. 3.2x6. At 10% tax the Small Insula will produce 8x gold for every Small Insula. At 10% tax the Villa Rustica will produce 6.4x gold for every Villa Rustica.
