Infrastucture is essential to the survival of Nova Roma. From outposts and roads that support gathering resources to temples that court and sway the wrath of the Gods, a Roman settlement without infrastructure is no settlement at all.

Outpost

The outpost is the beginning of your new city. It is the first building that must be placed before any other structures are built, and where you set it up can majorly influence your future decisions.

Paths

Roads create a 3x3 area around it where buildings can be constucted, making it imperative to the expansion of your city.

Bridges facilitate crossing of water bodies by allowing citizens to cross rivers without having to slowly wade through them. Bridges must be built over water, and you cannot build bridges over the sea.

Dirt roads and wooden bridges both allow Citizens to move 50% faster than on unpaved ground, while stone roads and bridges allow them to move 100% faster than on unpaved ground.

Stone Roads allow Citizens to move 50% faster than normal roads, and twice as fast than on unpaved ground. Just like normal Roads, every Stone Roads tile creates a 3x3 area around it where buildings can be constructed.

Stone roads can be built directly on top of existing normal Roads to upgrade them, and Aqueducts can be built across or on top of any kind of roads (but not on top of bridges).

The Columbarium and Cemeteries provide a happiness decrease in a circle with a radius of 7 from the nearest edge, the happiness decrease gets lesser the futher away the building is. It is best to place these in a secluded location away from your residental areas.
