Component:long-haul
In Game Description
A heavy civilian drive designed for cargo vessels making long, direct trips. Greatly increases thrust power[1] and top speed while reducing turn rate.
Gameplay usage
A Sundrive is generally better in most uses, though more fragile.

Notes
Multiple drives do not inherently affect the mobility of a ship, only provide redundancy, however, the modifiers to a ship's mobility are a combination of all installed drives' modifiers, so installing drives with multiple of the same effect can further affect it's capability (two whiplash drives will provide more speed than one, but a whiplash and standard drive will provide no different speed than a single whiplash). If some drives are disabled, only those drives' modifiers will be removed, which may even result in the ship's mobility improving in some cases (such as a prowled drive being disabled). If all drives on a ship are knocked out, it will not be able to move altogether.
Most drives have a small and large counterpart. Asides their sizes, OSPN drives tend to be less conformal in the differences between big and small than their ANS counterparts.
The CHI-9100's Small counterpart is the Sundrive, which has less power, HP and DT, a wake signature increase modifier, a higher top speed modifier, a higher angular thrust penalty, and flips it's flank damage penalty to a reduction.

[NVAN]: What's going on down there? Why have we stopped moving?
[BSTR]: The drive entered a shutdown state and we couldn't override it in time. Looks like Cain Heavies implemented an automatic cut-off when the charger starts to draw too much power.
[NVAN]: Is this the main drive or one of the backups?
[BSTR]: The 9100 Long Haul. I'm looking over the auto-report right now and it seems that the MEC is designed to immediately kill the power when it detects too much drive power being diverted to the maneuver units. I think it's supposed to operate in lockstep with a Superbrain to prevent that but I also think Cain didn't account for our latest model of DARCBrains and it completely killed the RAM banks.
[NVAN]: Can you repair it?
[BSTR] Simple fix. We'll need to check the EIU and sensors but we've got a stack of additional units in the cargo.
[NVAN]: Get it done. Replace the RAM, do a core dump, send it off to Command Engineering. We'll drive a straight course as much as possible. Leave it to Cain to make everything difficult.
[BSTR]: Tell me about it.
