In Game Description
The RF101 is a high-power turreted fire control system that allows the equipped warship to lock onto tracks, providing extreme accuracy for weapons. Highly effective with precision and command guided weapons.
The RF101 cannot lock onto targets obscured by the host warships hull[1] or targets outside its field of view.

Lore
SA/RFO-101, lovingly called the Bullseye. This specific model was supposed to be developed following the Graznovian conflict to replace the 'Torchlight' FCR and it's only recently (as in like, the last 40 years) that it's being issued to warships following the standardization initiative.
Comes with a pretty hefty pricetag but once it locks onto something, you can rest assured it'll keep that lock so long as the target doesn't hide behind a rock or station or something. A jammer won't affect it too much but if it gets bathed in jamming fields, you're probably going to wish your ship was a little more stealthy before you had the weapons control station punch in the missile parameters.
