For best efficiency and redundancy, all ship components should be placed far away from components that fulfill the same function. Smaller components can be installed in slots supporting larger components though they retain their same integrity, leaving them more vulnerable.
Mounts
Mount components are installed on the exterior of the ship's hull and grant the ship certain capabilities. Almost all mounts are faction-exclusive.
Shelter Alliance mounts
