Description

A modified assault rifle with added weight and extended barrel to deliver more accurate suppressive fire with less rounds. Usually employed by well trained troops like TCR marines.

The IAR appears to have on its right magazine well the inscription: "R228A1 MRS, Cal 5.56 mm x 45". This is an identical cartridge size to 5.56x45mm NATO: introduced in 1964, 5.56 NATO went on to become one of the most common rifle cartridges of the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
