Jane Darby is a playable Marine squad leader in the game. She is a member from the 103rd Recon 'The Black Sleeves'. A three-star Squad Leader with the stats to match, almost no-one among either the Marines or the residents of the Wayback System can match her skills in stealth and marksmanship. She is, however, somewhat afraid of bugs, though thankfully this does not affect her performance against Alien Wildlife.

Background & Lore

Most records of Darby were destroyed in the dis-straightening incident. What can be said is that unlike most volunteers for the Wayback Mission, Darby has no injuries, age, or personal investments warranting her presence. She very well may be a true believer in ending the Era of Estrangement and, being a rare Full Ace graduate of the Pathfinder School, she has all the tools to assist us in accomplishing just that.

Or, perhaps, she has reasons of her own for joining the mission.
