Description

A crude device contrapted by spacefaring pirates from discarded large caliber ship autocannon barrels. Refitted to fire homemade shells filled with shrapnel. Very high damage over short distances. Low penetration but shreds armor quickly.

Weapon Skill

A spread of shrapnel with low range and penetration, but high damage.

The description is likely a reference to the KS-23, a Soviet pump-action shotgun, the barrels of which were repurposed from autocannon barrels rejected by quality control.
