However, the IAR sports a longer barrel which comes standard with a muzzle brake, an integrated sling mount, a larger optic likely with greater magnification, and a modified fore-end which is issued with a bipod instead of an angled foregrip. The relationship between the IAR and the R228 would be similar to the real-world M27 IAR and the HK416, the RPK and the AKM, or the L86 LSW and the L85.
