The Woodland map in is one of the main playable map types and serves as a large, procedurally generated overworld where your entire run takes place.
It’s a continuous, tile-based map that you explore over time during a run.
There are four total biomes in the woodlands with different enemies and encounters (see below).
The following locations can be found anywhere on the map:
| Encounter | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Allows choosing between one of three Common rarity items to add to the inventory | 1/80 chance items will be Golden. 1/500 chance the items will be Diamond. More common in the Starting Forest biome. | |
| allow choosing between giving the weapon |
Each oil can only be applied once per weapon. Can have multiple oils on the same weapon. | |
| Can be used at night to wait until the next day and restore 10 Health. | ||
| Allow choosing between one of three locations on the map to be revealed. | They are always visible when the player is near. | |
| Allow choosing between two bonuses to add to the weapon. If weapon already has a one it can be replaced for 10 Gold. |
A weapon can have both forge bonus and oils | |
| Can combine two items of the same common or golden item. | ||
| Reveals the map in a 13 tile radius around them. | Will show all the encounters if it's daylight and question marks if it's night | |
| Has a selection of 5 Rare items and 1 Heroic item that can be bought using gold. Rare items cost 3 or 5 Gold while Heroic items cost 5 or 10 Gold. | Their inventory can be replenished at the cost of 1 gold. The replenish cost increases by 1 gold for each previous replenish. | |
| Unlocks fast traveling points which allow the player to them instantly at any point by hovering over them in map mode and pressing Space. | They are always visible when the player is near. | |
| Choose between one of three Heroic rarity items to add to the inventory. They always spawn some distance from the house. | Usually spawn in an enclosed area where the gates are only open at night. They can rarely spawn with two graves. |
The Woodland map is continuous and spread across four biomes. Each biome will spawn specific enemies and locations.
