When the day ends all blacksmiths and assistance will finish crafting or carrying the blueprint they were handling and then stop working. A button will appear to end the day, as well as a warning if there are still workers that are crafting or carrying something.
Merchant Offers
The first way of obtaining money, which is the only one available at the start of the game, are merchant offers. Completing merchant offers requires the following steps:
- Accepting the offer. There are three slots for accepted merchant offers and there is a limit of 5 merchant offers each day, at which point they much be refreshed manually at the cost of 200 Gold. Both the slots for merchant offers and the number of merchant offers to choose from can be increased via the Mastery Tree.
- Producing the blueprints. Blacksmiths assigned to craft for merchants will automatically craft blueprints required for accepted merchant offers. Blacksmiths will carry the blueprints to the merchants if assistants haven't been hired. Merchant offers will display a warning sign above if the required goods cannot be produced.
- Completing the offer. In addition to the merchant offer rewards, every 20 completed merchant offers will award an elite worker.
Some merchant offers will reward less coins coins but also reward blueprint points, design points, mastery tree points or decorations. Ores can also be obtained after their mines are unlocked in the Mastery Tree.
Starting with day 8, timed offers will appear. Timed offers offer 10% more Gold if they are finished in 24 hours but 20% less Gold if they are not.
When a new game is started the first three merchant offers will be 1 Bludgeon, 4 Wooden Club and 6 Wooden Scoop.
Selling Blueprints
The second way of obtaining money, which must be unlocked via the Mastery Tree, is by selling blueprints. Selling blueprints requires the following steps:
- Placing displays and assigning blueprints to them.
- Placing a Checkout Counter and hiring cashiers.
- Producing the blueprints. Blacksmiths assigned to craft for racks will automatically craft blueprints required for racks.
- Displaying blueprints. This requires an Item Chest and assistants. Blacksmiths will not carry blueprints to display items.
Purchasing Decorations or Lights will increase the number of customers. To achieve the maximum number of customers, 500 Gold should be spend on Decorations or Lights for each display item in the store.
Trade Routes
The only way to obtain certain rare resources is by unlocking and making use of trade routes. There are 4 trade routes and they may only be unlocked after all blueprints asked to trade have been unlocked.
Smelting
Smelting is unlocked via the Mastery Tree and is the process of turning lower quality resources into higher quality resources.
Iron Ore can be purchased but other ores must be mined.
